How to do the things people do most.
Each guide is a few numbered steps, true to the product as it is today. Inside the app the same guides open the pages they describe, and the search box finds them alongside your own records.
Getting started
- Set up your workspace in an afternoon
Add your locations, upload last month's bills, confirm what Relay read, and invite the people who will use it.
- Find anything: search, keyboard shortcuts and Ask
Cmd-K or / jumps to the search box. Plain words find records and guides; a question gets an answer from your own records.
- Plans, sizes and your bill
One flat price for your size, every feature included. Pick the size you expect to need; the price moves only when you pass it.
Inventory
- Add a location
One location per street address. Everything at that address, and the on-site contact, hangs off it.
- Add a service by hand
When there is no bill to read from: pick the category and type, the provider, and fill in what you know.
- Import services from a spreadsheet
Bring in an export from another system or your own list, up to 5,000 rows, with 30 days to undo it.
- Add-ons: static IPs, managed routers and other extras
An add-on rides on a main service. Its cost rolls into that service's bill check so the circuit and its extras read as one expense.
- Where documents and files live
Every bill, contract, quote and order form is kept with the record it belongs to, and listed together under Documents.
Bills
- Upload a bill and confirm what Relay read
Relay reads the PDF and proposes every line. Nothing is saved until a person confirms it.
- How bill checks work
Each saved bill is compared with the service's agreed price. Over or under by more than $5 or 2% is flagged.
- Record savings and claim outage credits
Only what a person confirmed counts as a saving. Each line carries its evidence, and credit claims are tracked until the money arrives.
Renewals
- Renewals and notice deadlines
The date that matters is the last day to give notice, not the contract end. Flags come 120, 60 and 30 days before it.
Requests and support
- Request a quote and compare the options
Describe what you need once. Quotes line up side by side with the total cost over the term worked out for each.
- Report a problem with a service
An outage, slow internet or dropped calls becomes a ticket with the service, the location and the provider's reference on it.
- Change, move or cancel a service
Upgrades, extra lines, an office move or a disconnect each become a project with steps, an owner and a due date.
- Watch a circuit for outages
A watched internet circuit is checked every minute. Two misses open a ticket, the third emails, and the outage is logged for a credit claim.
Team and access
- Invite your team and set what each person sees
Roles decide access by area: inventory, quotes and projects, bills, support, reports. A site contact sees only their location.
Reports
- Cost centers, allocation and the report builder
Tag services with who pays for them, see spend split by location or cost center, and build the report finance keeps asking for.
Connections
- Connect an AI assistant or another system
A read-only key lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your own scripts read the account. Nothing a key reads can be changed through it.
For advisors
- Add a client and bring in their team
Each client gets its own workspace under your firm. Add their locations, load their bills, then invite their people.
- Rebilling and the advisory fee statement
When your firm rebills carrier charges, each invoice line is checked against the carrier's bill, and the client sees the fee it pays.
- Track commissions and claw-back windows
Upload the distributor's statement, match each payout to a deal, and see what is owed, what arrived and what is still at risk of claw-back.
- Run a quarterly review with a client
The quarter's spend, savings, renewals and open work on one page, with your words at the top and a link you can share.
Start with one bill.
Upload it, confirm what Relay read, and the first service is in inventory in minutes.
